Each of our rooms at The Ark are developed in line with learning needs at every age. We provide a range of toys, activities and areas to explore to ensure the children remain engaged, motivated and most of all have lots of fun through learning and play.

BABY ROOM

0-1 Year Olds

Our cosy baby room has a wide range of sensory resources, specific for the age group. All activities are planned around new experiences, to encourage the children to explore freely. It is our aim to ensure that your baby’s transition from your home to nursery is as smooth as possible by offering as many settling in sessions that you think your child will need.

TODDLER ROOM

2-3 Year Olds

In our open plan Toddler Room, children are encouraged to try new experiences, to promote and support all areas of learning. While their new found independence blossoms, your child will feel reassured by the constant care, supervision, support and security of our staff.

PRE-SCHOOL ROOM

2-5 Year Olds

Our pre-school room supports and encourages your children in all areas of development as they prepare for their move to primary school. A balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities are delivered through a play-based environment whereby our practitioners use their knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework to support and develop the 7 areas of learning and development.

The Ark is a very friendly, welcoming team that gives outstanding care. My daughters of 3 years and the other of 10 months both go to the Ark and enjoy it very much. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond to support parents with the care of their children, the environment is well resourced with appropriate toys and lovely outside area.

Our little boy goes to this nursery. We couldn’t be happier with The Ark Day Nursery. Our little boy loves going to nursery and is always happy when he comes out. The staff are incredible, always friendly, happy and caring. Always there to answer any questions we need to ask. They can always tell us about his days and what he has been getting up to. The Ark is a really lovely environment to send my child. The staff are so caring and always have my child's best interests at heart. Feel very lucky to have such a nice team looking after her. Only thing I would change is a grassy area for outside playing.
